Bicycles with a brand or bicycles with the heart?


Is not easy for me to write  this first article on PRODIGIOSA website for two reasons: one of them ,obviously, is the language. The other one I am sure that can come out during the speech...
I was at Retro Ronde Van Vlaanderen in Oudenaarde, Belgium, In june this year. I took part at the sunday race with a brand new Blue frame, chromed fork, all equipped with a Campagnolo groupset from the eighties that was on the bike of my grandfather Tolmino. Which frame? a G...? no, it was a PRODIGIOSA.
The Story behind this new Trademark is almost know among people interested in cycling and this is not the place to remind it. But we can tell what started from that point...
I was a bit scared of what people could say seeing a bike like that not bearing our family name but I had to change my mind about it. Once again I understood that what we define "customers" are hardly to be closed in a standard "marketing rule" and the lovers of a particolar objects, Bikes, watches, food or everything else, are always interested in discovering what there is behind the first apearence. And over there, people know well what there was behind that PRODIGIOSA...
That was a great occasion for me to visit the museum of Flanders and all the streets my father went throught with Brooklyn car (outside the window of that car most of the time!) and spend time with friends that were proud to show that landscape so important for the story of my family. Yes ,story of a family, 'cause we have to consider that what people call just "business" sometimes could not be just like that. "you can Say I am a dreamer..." but being there for me, was more than showing a Frame.

From that day many things happened. The most beautiful story is the visit from Holland of our friends, A vacation planned to pick up their frames in Volpiano and a day passed mounting their bikes. Picture will describe that day better than a lot of words, Enjoy...
